Starting my Minecraft Video Series

Yea so, sorry for not posting for a few months, its just that school gets in the way. I going to start a video series. I will start posting them on youtube. I will tell you guys in about a week because I need to make more. I tell you my youtube username soon. The videos are laggy and I just can't fix it so please don't flip out. I will Fix it.

Upcoming Fixes for the Next Minor Version

So this is a list for the 1.8 Beta Version fixes that will most likely come out after August 28, 2011. There is only a few but, they are cool and wanted.

-Shift+Click on items will work correctly.
-Labels for items will be added.
-Redstone circuits not working after time set (x) glitch going to be fixed in SMP.
-User placed leaf blocks won't decay.
-Clouds won't go through blocks anymore.
-Rain and snow will now render faster.

I can't wait for the last three last fixes to come because they seem more usefull then the first ones to me. So check for the 1.8 Beta update to come out after August 28, 2011!

So, I decided to make a new place this week so here is what it looks like so far. I'm still working on it and it looks pretty cool. Ben and me have been making new worlds so this is the outcome of epicness. I will have these pics and more moved to my world page!

I'm Back

Well, its been about a month since my last post. I have been very busy with my BSA Scout Troop having fun and working hard. I'm back to Minecraft and I hope to make up for the lost month. Lets hope I can get it done before school starts to fill up my time.

The Highest You Can Go

Will Minecarts be like Lava Boats?

Notch has suggested making minecarts act as if they are lava boats. How cool would that be to finally have a way to get past the lava oceans in the Nether! That would make it so much easier to explore the Nether! I bet though that this is in the very back corner of Notch's mind so it might not come out for a while or at all. I want it though so bad! Lava Surfing!

Improvements to Combat

Notch replied to a comment on Twitter, saying that combat was lacking the fun and that it needs to be more fun. Finally, better combat. I can just imagine how cool it would be for that to be improved. If the combat and more mobs update come in the same package, that would be perfect! I could use a new creature to fight with, with a new style to fight! This update better come out soon or at least at all!

Can Lanterns be a Possibility?

Lanterns were originaly supposed to be part of the Halloween update but Notch ran out of time. Notch said that he may be working on them again. How cool would it be to walk around in the dark without placing torches every 10 blocks! I hope this update comes out soon or even at all! That is so awesome. I wonder how you would have to craft them? I bet lanterns will come out in at least the next two updates (Either 1.7-1.8)

Sand Castle Competition

So I guess I might as well allow my readers to compete against each other. So the competition is to make the coolest looking sand castle you can without hacking on single player just to make it a little harder. When you are ready to show it, just post it on the comments and I will be the judge of all of the entries. There has to be at least 2 people in the competition. It will end during the last week of July this summer.

Zombie Pigman

In Minecraft Zombie Pigman are fun to fight with. But it is freaky when 20 of them attack you at the same time. That happend to me and I had to turn the difficulty to peaceful for a sec just to make them disapear. That was scary but awesome. Zombie Pigman can give you a advantage on the game because you can attack lonely ones and then take thier cooked porkchop. Thats how I stock up on porkchops. I don't kill regular pigs unless it is an emergancy. I want to make a farm of them in the Nether but its a little diffifcult because my portal is by lots of lava. I have heard that Notch or Jeb have commented somewhere that they might make it able to control some mobs in the future. But I doubt thats going to happen soon or to mobs that attack you. Go Zombie Pigman!!!

Weather

The post title says it all for this. This post is about weather in Minecraft. For Ben and me, it has been interesting. I have had it snow on me (which was pretty cool) and I have had it rain on me (It flooded holes in the map). I think the weather update was worth the work. I just hope my sand castle that I'm working on doesn't flood from the rain!

I think I have a good Idea...

So I was thinking how it was impossible to make a sand castle with multiple floors without it caving in. So I was hoping Notch or Jeb would think of a device for an upcoming update to make a switch to control the gravity influence on sand and gravel without hacking. I just want to make a 100% sand castle but I currently have to use wooden planks for my top floors. If you have the same problem, we should do something about this. Here is an example of my second story on my sand castle.

Food and Hunger Meter!!??

When I saw this I was like, now I have to eat more food? Because I allready eat plenty from killing mobs such as creepers, zombies, skeletons, and more! But food will be stackable when this update comes out, (if this update does come) so my chests on my game will not be so dang full of bread and porkchops and other things! This is coming from Notch's and Jeb's twitter. I don't really like this idea so much, but luckily this is just an idea.

More Mobs!

Oh my Gosh! I have been waitng so long for new mobs to finally come out! Notch hinted that the new mob will be scary. I am starting to think it is going to be a dragon. I will post what it will be when Notch comes with that new update!

Pistons are Finally Coming!

New crafting items added to Minecraft

There are many things being added to Minecraft every update. Here is a list of what new crafting items are coming out!

Version 1.6.6---
-Glowstone now is a stone and needs to be mined with a pickaxe and now drops 2-4 glowstone dust.

-It now takes 4 glowstone dust to make a glowstone block instead of 8 pieces.
